The Olympic flame has been extinguished in Beijing, marking the end of Winter Olympic Games 2022. It was the second pandemic Olympics. Athletes were restricted to a COVID-safe bubble where they were required to take daily tests, wear masks and observe strict protocols. After days of competition, the closing ceremony was held at the Beijing National Stadium, commonly referred to as the Bird's Nest. The same stadium also hosted the opening ceremony. With this year's Winter Olympic Games, the capital city of China became the first city in history to host both a Summer and Winter Olympics. The next Winter Games is slated for 2026 in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Here, we bring you the spectacular pictures from the Winter Olympics 2022 closing ceremony.
