Sepak takraw, a sport of the nations in Southeast Asia has been a part of our country for some years. There are three players on each side and the goal is to take the plastic ball or the wicker across. Since the 11th edition of Asian Games in Beijing, the sport has been included. Circle, regu, double regu and team are the four different variations of the game. Currently, Thailand dominates the sport. India lost to an impressive Thailand team during the Sepak takraw team event at the Asian Games on August 21, 2018 during the semi-finals. However, they did end up winning the bronze for the event, a first for the country.
