Considering Zeenat was in the city to campaign for the recently concluded mayoral elections, and considering also that many of her counterparts have an active political life, the chat naturally turned towards her own political ambitions. And surprisingly, her reply is not a stock 'No' as most stars out to campaign are wont to give. Instead, she said, "Yes, I have been approached in the past but then I always declined. But now I am in that phase of life when I am open to all sorts of ideas, and so, why not politics! I may give it a thought if the offer interests me."

Not just politics, Zeenat said she is finally ready to pen down her memoirs as well. "A few months back, I was asked by a daily if I ever thought of writing my autobiography. And at that time I had said 'no', because I thought, 'what's interesting about my life?' But then, so many people got after me -- family, friends... everybody and now I am like, 'Maybe, why not? It will be interesting to record one's life."

But while Zeenat is okay about recording on paper her own life, the idea of a televised series on her completely put her off. "Would you believe it, just the last week a channel approached me for a serial on my life, and asked me to be the narrator, sort of a sutradhar! I refused immediately. (Pic: Viral Bhayani)

What's the point? Would I really be okay talking about what is past, and would I be able to trust any channel or producer to present my life in the truest sense? I think not, so I declined the offer," she added. But Zeenat did a double take when we informed her that a serial was already on air on Madhubala and was quite popular. "Is that so?" she asked. But Zeenat is averse to appearing on TV altogether. I did try judging a talent hunt series, but honestly, TV is not my cup of tea.
