On being asked whether she will accept him as her 'humsafar', Mallika cleared, "A 63 year old man doesn't appeal to me as a 'humsafar' with whom I would love to spend my whole life. I mean he is a guide, he is a philosopher and he is more like a father figure. With due respect to the man, I would like to ask every girl in society if she will accept a 63 year old man as her life partner and I am sure the answer will be 'NO'."
