According to sources, January 24 was his last day on the set. His wife Rashami Desai Sandhu had also quit her show, Uttaran, only to return a few months later.

Nandish apparently wasn't happy with the show's new time-slot (it was shifted from 9.30 pm to 11 pm sometime back), its storyline and ratings. While the actor remained unavailable for comment, producer Rajesh Chadha says, "Nandish isn't leaving the show.
