This newspaper has learnt that Smriti will be, once again working with Ekta after a very long gap. The actress will be seen in the first episode of the Daayan series based on Ekta's upcoming film Ek Thi Daayan starring Emraan Hashmi and Konkona Sen Sharma.

The series, to be telecast on national television in March, will comprise six episodes, with each starring one television actress. In addition to Smriti, five other TV actresses have been roped in for the remaining episodes, including Sakshi Tanwar, Kritika Kamra, Mouli Ganguly, Aamna Sharif and Ankita Lokhande. Whereas, Emraan will be a part of the entire series. A source told Mirror, "Smriti will do one episode.
