Lionel Messi has confirmed that he will join American side Inter Miami. The announcement came in the wake of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain coming to an end. He is one of the American Major League Soccer's (MLS) greatest players acquisition in its history.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic played for LA Galaxy in the MLS for two seasons before leaving the same at the end of the 2019 season. In a total of 58 matches under the club, he scored 53 goals.

In 2007, David Beckham signed a five-year contract with MLS club LA Galaxy. He played in a total of 118 matches, he scored 20 goals. Interestingly, the English footballer also co-owns Inter Miami along with two local Miami entrepreneurs, Jorge Mas and his brother Jose Mas, as majority owners.

Wayne Rooney is one of the biggest names to ever play in MLS. He played 52 matches for DC United in the MLS and scored 25 goals. After two seasons with the club as a player, Rooney is currently DC United's head coach.
