Femina Miss Grand India 2017 Anukriti Gusain has made an official entry into politics. The beauty queen, who married former Uttarakhand Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat's son, Tushit Rawat, began working as a social worker in the Uttarakhand town of Lansdowne and recently revealed that she has joined the Congress party. Taking to Instagram, Anukriti wrote, "Beginning my new phase in life,joined @incindia @incuttarakhand with honourable @drhsrawatuk and with blessings of @harishrawatcmuk @ganeshgodiyalincuk @pritamsinghinc @yadavdevenderinc and all other senior dignitaries. IтАЩam really thankful to @soniaghandhiinc ji @rahulgandhi ji @priyankagandhivadra ji for believing in me and I assure that I will dedicate my efforts for Indian national congress in Uttarakhand and in India ЁЯЗоЁЯЗ│. Jai Bharat,jai Uttarakhand." Anukriti Gusain represented India at Miss India Grand International 2017, where she made it to the Top 25. The beauty queen was also sashed as Miss Asia Pacific World 2014 and Femina Miss India Uttarakhand 2017. Post her marriage in 2018, Anukriti shifted her focus to social service in Lansdowne, a town in Uttarakhand.
