Let’s take a look at some famous lost treasures!
Designed by the House of Cartier in year 1928, Patiala
necklace was a magnificent piece of jewellery that belonged to Maharaja
Bhupinder Singh of Patiala. The necklace contained 2,930 diamonds in addition
to the 428 carat ‘De Beers’ diamond. The Patiala necklace went missing in 1948,
and was recovered fifty years later by a Cartier representative with most of
its precious jewels missing.

It is believed that the ‘Crown Jewels’ of King John is
considered to be one of the most ostentatious piece of jewellery. It has been
stolen and replaced several times. The ‘Crown Jewels’ of King John was washed
out in the sea when King John tried crossing the Walsh at Lincolnshire in 1216.
