Parents who murdered their children - Indrani Mukerjea was arrested

Indrani Mukerjea was arrested by the Mumbai Police for her alleged role in the 2012 murder of Sheena Bohra. Mukerjea was produced before the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate court, which remanded her in police custody till 31 August. Indrani's role in the murder came to light after the police arrested her driver Shyam Manohar Rai, who reportedly confessed to killing Sheena and dumping her body in the forests of Raigad.

Andrea Yates, who suffered mental illness, decided to kill her children

Andrea Yates suffered from mental illness, which lead to killing her children by drowning them in the bath tub. She suffered from postpartum psychosis. Andrea's children Noah (7), John (5), Paul (3), Luke (2) and Mary (6 months) all had a sad death by drowning in the water. She committed this hideous crime in a span of an hour in absence of husband. Besides, she was not guilty of murder due to her mental illness. She was sent to mental hospitals for the treatments.

Mick Philpott and his wife Mairead was arrested for killing their 5 children

Mick Philpott and his wife Mairead were arrested for killing their five children. The couple were getting help from a charity after their children's death, but the investigation went against them. They were sent to jail in 2013. They set ablaze their family home where their kids were sleeping. The kids were charred to death in that accident.
