Randhir Kapoor is the eldest son of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor and the grandson of actor and filmmaker Prithviraj. He had two brothers, late Rajiv Kapoor and late Rishi Kapoor, and two sisters, Rima and late businesswoman Ritu. His uncles, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor were well-known actors of their time.
