Bengaluru sways in tune with the Earth

Echoes of Earth’s multi-city event had its first instalment in Bengaluru, kickstarting a journey of celebration of the city’s freshwater ecosystem. It started with a story-telling session by Vikram Sridhar, followed by a panel discussion that featured environmental saviours who spoke at length about how protecting water bodies should be more of an individual commitment rather than just the duty of a particular government or authority. The highlight was a stage design focussing on the threatened bird species, Oriental Darter. The event closed with a music performance by The Cinematic Orchestra.
