On April 25, exactly at 12.17 pm, Bengaluru witnessed zero shadows! Anything vertical did not create a shadow as the sun was directly overhead, and this unique phenomenon happens only twice a year, at places between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn. Students and experts gathered at the city’s Planetarium to observe “Zero Shadow Day”. The phenomenon will repeat on August 18.
